(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - According to the public relations office of the Wisdom and Philosophy Research Center of Iran, the book is authored by the influential German Orientalist and scholar Annemarie Schimmel and was published by the Russian Academy of Sciences as ordered by the Sadra Institution in Moscow.
The original version of the book has been numerously published. The work’s Russian translation is provided from its English version by Prof. Natalia Prigarina and Rapaport, and is published by Sadra Publishing Company.
In 2,000 the book’s summary was released in Russian by the same translator.
Annemarie Schimmel, SI, HI, (April 7, 1922 in Erfurt, Germany – January 26, 2003 in Bonn, Germany) was a well known and very influential German Orientalist and scholar, who wrote extensively on Islam and Sufism. She was a professor at Harvard University from 1967 to 1992.
